Welcome to the White Hart
....where a warm, traditional, village inn welcome is always guaranteed!
Situated in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the picturesque village of Newenden is home to The White Hart freehouse, which has served the local community and surrounding area since the 16th Century and if walls had ears it would, we know, have lots of interesting tales to tell - over a decent pint of fine cask ale, naturally!
Proud winners of a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013 and 2014 our menus are thoughtfully created and include superb, homemade, pub classics made from locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. We welcome families and cater for the appetites of little ones with a 2 course children’s menu and a smaller version of our delicious roast dinners on a Sunday. We welcome group bookings and our car park is spacious enough for coaches to park.
At the bar you can expect an ever changing selection of fine cask ales and we are proud to say that we can be found in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide.
Our comfortable ensuite rooms, priced from just £40 per person per night including a superb full English breakfast, provide the perfect base from which to visit local tourist attractions and explore the local area, whether it’s a Cruise and Dine boat trip on the River Rother with The Bodiam Boating Station, a visit to one of the many National Trust properties on our doorstep or a drive down to the coast.
We look forward to welcoming you to The White Hart soon!
